We are thrilled to announce that our Head teacher, Mrs Andrea Walker, has been awarded National Leader of Education (NLE) designation and our school has now become a National Support School (NSS). This is in recognition of our in-school achievements and of the quality of support we are able to provide to other schools. This year (2017-18), Mrs Walker and other staff are supporting several schools across Cumbria; this includes Mr Phil Cooper being seconded as Acting Head in Brough Primary School until the end of July, 2018.
Our pupil results for 2017 are again amongst the highest in the county and nationally. In the national primary school performance tables, our school ranks 43rd (out of over 12,000 schools nationally) – so we are in the top 50 schools in the country! In Cumbria, we come 2nd overall. We are in the top 20 nationally for KS1 to KS2 value-added progress, when compared to similar schools.
